Aloha Hawaiian Chicken!!

Two words: DELISH and YUM!!!!

The fact that you literally can dump in the ingredients and completely walk away to only return several hours later to a restaurant quality main dish makes this recipe additionally amazing!  Add a couple of jalepenos with the green pepper layer if you want to add some 'kick.'

Hawaiian Slow-Cooker Chicken

1 green pepper, chopped
2 lb boneless chicken breast
1 large can crushed or tidbit pineapple - with juice
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic
1/4 tsp Chinese 5 Spice (optional)
1/2 cup peanuts &/or cashews

Add chopped peppers to bottom of slow cooker, lay chicken breasts directly on top.  Pour entire contents of canned pineapple over chicken, then drizzle in soy sauce, sprinkle on garlic and Chinese 5 spice. Sprinkle brown sugar over top.  Set slow cooker to low and cook at least 6 hours (or up to 9). Resist all urges to stir, mix, blend, or anything - just do not touch and let it cook!!

Serve with rice and steamed vegetables and top with peanuts.

Oh. My. Goodness. YUM!!!!

And how does it reheat? Just as tasty as the first day! Win-win!!

Have a Yummy kind of day -

Robin Z
