If you're one of my Fans on FB, you already know the menu I'm going to share with you today. . . but if you're not - I've simply got to tell you! It was THAT delicious:-)
Doesn't that look delicious? Another Hubster masterpiece with a secret marinade and glaze grilled to the utmost precise perfection that, as far as I'm concerned, is the best in the world universe!
These sweet potato fries were so-so simple and EXTREMELY tasty! Just peel the potato, slice into french frie shapes, place on foil-lined cookie sheet coated with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and cracked pepper and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, then 20 minutes in a 425 oven. Wow! YUM! We had just enough leftovers that last night I mashed them up in a heavy saucepan with just enough milk to make them creamy, added a little more salt and pepper and stirred constantly over medium-high heat until warmed through. WOW! Mashed sweet potatoes are good - who would have guessed it??
But what about that pie, you ask. Oh, I knew you had your priorities - that's what I love about you! Pie, the most critical of the food groups, right? RIGHT!
I will share my pie crust recipe one of these blogs. . . I only have one left in the freezer. I really want to have some pictures for you to look at it when I do share the recipe. Soon. Soon. You could use my graham cracker crust with this recipe if you like - it's tasty too. In the meantime - let's focus on the filling!
Simply Key Lime Pie
1 9" pie crust - baked
3 egg yolks (save whites if topping pie with meringue)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c Realime lime-juice from concentrate
1-3 drops green food coloring, if desired
meringue or whipped topping, if desired
Merry Meringue
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
6 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Beat together egg whites and salt until frothy. Add sugar, 1 Tbsp at a time, beating until stiff glossy peaks form. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla. Spread meringue over top of pie filling sealing edges.
Just try not having seconds - I *DARE* you!
Have a Yummy kind of day ~

I have a problem, when I see a key lime pie I instantly want to slam my face down into it like I'm in a pie eating contest. That looks SO good. And as for your package story. A. It was epic. And B. it reminded me of playing super mario brothers as a kid when mario would jump in a lil space and get stuck just running back and forth and there was nothing you could do about it. That is how I pictured your shoes. =)
